Inspired by the idea to capture the mystical cypress trees growing in this lake during truly unique conditions I got up at midnight, drove a couple of hours, spent another hour in a small boat, set up my tripod and waited. Just before sunrise a heavy fog rolled in over the lake. As the sun rose, light was reflected on the fog and on the surface of the water creating a surreal scene that only lasted for a few minutes. I'm glad I was there to experience it with my own eyes and to have this image to share.
